Guttering, Fascias & Soffits in the West Midlands
Gutters that drain, joints that do not drip, and uPVC fascias and soffits that will not rot. Fitted straight, falls checked, mess cleared.
Guttering, Fascias & Soffits
Guttering is the cheapest part of a house to fix and the most expensive to ignore. A dripping joint or an overflowing run soaks the same patch of wall every time it rains, and that is how you end up with saturated brickwork, blown pointing and damp inside. If your gutters overflow in heavy rain or you can see drips at the joints, the fix now is small.
We repair where repair makes sense, resetting the falls so water actually runs to the downpipe, swapping failed unions and brackets, and clearing blockages while we are up. Where the run is past it, we replace it: uPVC systems in half round or square line, black, white, brown or anthracite, sized properly for the roof area feeding them. Cast iron look uPVC is available for older houses that need the right appearance without the maintenance.
Fascias and soffits get the same treatment. Rotten timber boards get stripped, not wrapped over so the rot carries on underneath, and replaced with solid uPVC boards with ventilation to keep the loft breathing. New guttering fixed to new boards, straight lines, correct falls, everything screwed not glued, and all the old timber and plastic taken away.

Guttering, Fascias & Soffits FAQs
One of three things: a blockage, usually moss and leaves at an outlet; falls that have sagged so water sits instead of running; or a gutter simply too small for the roof feeding it. We work out which while we are up there, because clearing a blocked gutter that actually needs re-falling just moves the overflow to the next storm.
Joints, unions and brackets can all be swapped individually, and on a sound run that is the honest fix. If the run is brittle, stained and leaking in several places, piecemeal repairs cost more than replacement within a couple of years. We quote whichever your gutters genuinely need.
Capping covers rotten timber with a thin plastic skin, and the rot keeps going underneath where you cannot see it, right next to your rafter ends. Full replacement strips the old boards and fits solid uPVC to sound timber. It costs more than capping and it is the only version of the job we are willing to put our name on.
Yes. Lofts need airflow to stop condensation rotting the timbers and soaking the insulation. We fit ventilated soffit boards or discrete vents as standard, matched to how your roof breathes.
A typical semi is one to two days for full fascias, soffits and guttering. A gutter-only swap on one elevation can be done in hours. Weather can stretch it slightly; the quote comes with a realistic timeline.
